We had our meeting in February to
plan activities on our lake for this
summer...Here are the following
dates that were agreed upon:
Thursday, May 15 at 5:00 p.m. at
the Kinneys/Seeleys which is on the
south east side of
the lake.
Lot's of good food and good
company with Larry and Dodie Kenney
and Jill and Ken Seeley.
We even sold a few Lake DeSoto Tee's
Thank's for the good time.....
Tuesday, June 17th, at 5:00 p.m.
at Charlene Pederson's house which
is close to Calella. She lives on
South Pego.
Thursday, July 10th at Alton and
Barbara Dee Deville's house at 6:00
p.m. and they live on the point on
the right as you enter the last cove
across from our beach.
Monday, August 18th at Carrie
Thomsen's house at 6:00 p.m. which
is in a cove on the north side of
our lake..We will have signs and
give better directions as we get
closer to the date.
The Shoreliners' Picnic is
scheduled for Thursday, September
18th from 6-10 p.m. at the Cortez
pavillion.
Our last floatilla of the season
will be Monday, October 6th at 5:00
p.m. at Roger and Linda Smith's
house and George and Jeanne
Bartell's house which is next door
to the Smiths.
Christmas party at the Desoto
Club on Thursday, 6:00 PM December
11th. Happy hour 4 - 7 PM, beer
$1.25. well mixed drinks or wine
$2.50. Heavy appetizers
are $10.00 per person. RSVP to
Barbara Dee 915-9559.
We have some new block
captains.
For South Pego Way, we have
LInda Smith and Jeannie Bartell and
Charlene Pederson.
For
Guadalajara, we have Susan
and Harold Ohlrich and, if they need
help, Don and Dena Hill offered to
help them.
Carol Lanning offered to help
Betty DeLong and Ann Hoffman
co-captain Deganza,
Madrid Way, Santa
Maria,Escondida and Leguita Place.
Teresa Widdifield will again
captain
Toledo.
Mary McNamer will captain Seville
Lane and Barbara Dee Deville said
she would captain her part of Sierra
Lane as well as Tobarra.
Jill Seeley and Dodie Kenney will
captain Sierra Drive.
And Cynthia Schanink, and Alicia
Fetter will help me with Castellon
Drive and all of the cul-de-sacs
along this street which are Alba
Lane, Alba Circle, San Mateo and
Alcora Lane.
Put these dates on your
calendars. Bring food to share and
supply your own beverage,
plasticware and plates...
