The DeSoto Shoreliners have a new website www.desotolake.com please visit it. It is a spectacular site and has interesting information, pictures, dates, and events of the Desoto Shoreliners. DESOTO LAKE SHORELINERS! If you are decorating your dock, lakeside yard or lakeside home for Christmas, it must be decorated by December 2, 2007 and lights turned on by 5:00 pm. Judging will take place on December 4, 2007 and there will be 3 PRIZES AWARDED. AND YOUR OWN TABLE SETTINGS. CALL 922-1650 FOR PARTY BARGE RIDE/TRANSPORTATION. Note: DESOTO SHORELINERS MEANS: You live on the shore of Lake Desoto, you do not need a boat, and you are welcome to call for a boat taxi or drive to the location of the FLOTILLA. All SHORELINERS are welcome to come. Check “The Voice” for info on future dates of the DESOTO SHORELINERS FLOTILLAS. See you at the Flotilla, June 25, 2007! DeSoto’s Lake Safety Watch Group
Lake DeSoto shoreliners who are interested in participating in the Lake Safety Watch Group (LSWG) are encouraged to attend a meeting at the McAuley Center, 5010 Highway 7 North on Monday, June 7, starting at 9 a.m.

Lake safety has been a focus of the POA Lakes and Water Management Committee. It is felt a Lake Safety Watch Group, similar to a Neighborhood Watch Group, would be beneficial in helping to reduce incidents of excessive speeding, violation of no wake zones, and identify safety concerns on Lake DeSoto. The Lake Safety Watch Group will:

Observe activities

Assist other boaters and

Report violations

The June 7 meeting will provide information about equipment and duties. Sgt. Travis Graves will be attending to help provide direction and answer questions.

Lake DeSoto Shoreliners Picnic
June is a wonderful time for a picnic, not too many "skeeters" yet and the heat isn’t too bad so we need Everyone on Lake DeSoto to come on out, meet your neighbors, eat some really good food and have a wonderful time. Monday, June 9 at Cortez Pavilion, 5 to 6 p.m. will be social/cocktail hour and we will plan on eating at 6.

It will be a potluck dinner so if you don’t like to cook, just drop by the deli or bring something simple. We want to keep it easy and inexpensive!

We still need you to call so we will have enough table service, ice, etc. Please call Dodie Kenney at 915-0637, Jill Seeley at 922-0013, or Linda Sipple at 922-4088. If you have anything that you would like to contribute as a door prize please indicated when you call. Hope to see you there!
