APRIL 26 TH 2009 NEWS LETTER

We had our Desoto Shoreliners’ meeting on Thursday, April 26^th at Ramona’s.

Our first floatilla will be at Harold and Susan Ohlrich’s house on Saturday, May 30^th, 5:00 p.m. They live on the north side of the lake close to Calella Road on Guadalahara.

Thursday, June 18^th at 5 p.m. will be a floatilla at Charlene Pedersen’s house. She lives on the north side of the lake on South Pego .

Saturday, July 25^th Denise and Scott Maltzan and Ken and Jill Seeley will host a floatilla at 6:30 p.m. They live on the south side of the lake close to the last cove on the right.

Monday, August 10^th, Cor and Pat Langewis and Marshal and Cari Thomsen will host a floatilla at the Thomsen dock. They live in a cove on the north side of the lake just east of the marina.

Thursday, September 17^th, will be the Shoreliners’ Picnic with cocktails from 5-6 p.m. and dinner at 6:00 p.m.

Monday, October 12^th at 5:00p.m. George and Jeanne Bartell and Roger and Linda Smith want to host the final floatilla of the year.

The directories are being proofed for errors. The price for them will be $10.00 with a portion of the money paying for the rental of Cortez pavillion for our picnic in September.

The Christmas party will be held at Harold and Susan Ohlrich’s house on Saturday, December 12^th. Only those who decorate for Christmas will be able to come to the party. The decorations must be up by December 7^th.

There will be signs posted for the floatillas at each house prior to their date. Hosts are to pass the signs along to the next host.

Hello Shoreliner s: JUNE 2009

Thank you for coming to the Flotilla at Charlene Pederson ’s. Hosts: Nancy Brainard, Tom and Marsha Treat and Don and Lorna VanMeter. Everyone had such a good time, food galore and a wonderful time visiting…We had a lot of new faces and it was wonderful to meet the new neighbors on the Lake ….. .I know, I honestly enjoyed every minute…So happy to have our neighbor Jim McKinnon, 103 years old, do the Razorback Hog Call for the Flotilla. . Great Job, Jim!!!!….Linda and Dick Sipples little white Maltese dog, jumped into the water and we had to save it….and we did!!! An exciting time by all……

All lanyard are ordered, should have them soon, I will deliver them so you will have them for the next flotilla…..Thank you, Barbara Dee for helping with the orders!!!! If you would like to order a lanyard just call me 922-1650 or e-mail charlenekay@suddenlink.net.
